Ayurvedic Beauty

my makeup today-breaking out on my cheeks and by my upper lip.

my goodies from Omo

Neem Leaf Powder

Applying the mask- neem powder and olive oil with a little bit of water.

Hi beauties,
So I have been breaking out this week and my skin feels dull and blotchy. I did the turmeric mask last week Friday and it did have my face looking brighter but for some reason my complexion is dull and blotchy for the last two days and I have had small outbreaks. I tried things like cleaning my phone with some anti-bacterial wipes- # 1 reason why you might be breaking out on your cheek. I washed and changed my pillow cases, cleaned my makeup brushes and wore my hair away from my face, so I think it must be some hormonal thing. One of the many joys of being a woman is that your hormones affect your skin. yay! But there's good news. I received a goodie package in the mail!!!!!! My girl Omo in Toronto, hooked me up with some ayuverdic goodies. If you don't know what the word means don't worry- lately as you know I have been researching and experimenting with home made beauty treatments and I complained about not having an Asian or Indian or Middle Eastern store in St. Kitts to get all the ingredients for the homemade recipes like turmeric.( which luckily I found). And Ms. Zee heard my cry and sent me some goodies in the mail. I got
-Rose water
-Henna for hair-black and blonde
-Neem powder

Omo reminded me that Neem powder is good for acne, so great timing for me to try out a neem powder face mask. I looked up the recipes online and they are pretty simple. Here's the simpliest one I saw some others saying you can use olive oil, grapeseed oil and even rose water.

Neem Leaf Powder Mask

Made from various parts of the neem tree that is native to India and other Asian countries, neem-derived products can have different traditional uses. Neem contains many active constituents with medicinal properties that include anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antifungal effects.
Neem leaf powder may be beneficial for skin problems, including pimples or acne. To prepare a mask with neem leaf powder, mix 1 tbsp. of powder with enough water to form a thin paste. You can apply it to affected skin areas for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

Kinda smells like a certain type of bush- if you know what I mean. lol I think you can prolly make tea with it. It should be good to clean out your system. I just might try a detox with it. The texture is like ground up leaves and it can tend to not go on smooth but try not to make the mask too thick. There is a slight tingle but I just put my fan on my face to help with the tingle and to help to dry it. Don't add too much water, just a little would do to make a paste.
Another friend of mine, told me her sister uses it all the time to help with her acne. So I gave it a try.
You can find Neem Leaf powder at your local Indian or Middle Eastern grocery or online at http://www.ediblenature.com/store/p/21483-Neem-Leaf-Powder-1-lb-package.aspx?feed=Froogle
or http://www.discountremediesinc.com/neem-leaf-powder-8-oz.html. Or just search on amazon or ebay.

I think Ill try the henna on my hair this weekend. I follow this other blog think its moptopmaven.com. She uses henna on her hair all the time.

Do it yourself beauty is the best kind!
Thanks to Omo for my goodies you made my week, especially since I got home and realized my car has some kinda leak. sigh* If I knew enough about cars, I'd prolly be blogging about that. lol
Love off yaself!!!

  5. glycomet 850 mgis used with an appropriate diet and exercise program and conceivably with different prescriptions to control high glucose. It is used in patients with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high glucose forestalls kidney harm, blindness, nerve issues, loss of appendages, and sexual capacity issues. Lactic acidosis is the unsafe development of lactic corrosive in the blood.
