Inspired by Changing leaves

Hi Beauties,
Halifax is beautiful in the fall, especially with the leaves changing colours hence this look was inspired by the trees on my street. The burnt oranges/copper, the reds and browns and golden tones all found on one tree that's right outside my balcony. If you look behind me in a few pics, you can see the trees. Soon the trees will be barren as it gets colder so I am taking it all in while I can.

For this look I used:
FACE: HARD CANDY SHEER ENVY PRIMER
MAC MATCHMASTER FOUNDATION IN 7.5, SET WITH STUDIO FIX FOUNDATION PLUS POWDER IN NW43
CLINIQUE UP LIGHTING ILLUMINATOR IN PEACH
CHEEKS: FOR CONTOURING RIMMEL BRONZER WITH MAC COOL LIQUID POWDER IN CAJUN AND NARS EXHIBIT ON TOP
EYES: ELF EYE PRIMER, ON THE LID LORAC INSPIRATION E/S WITH MAC ANTIQUED E/S, EMBARK IN THE OUTER CORNER AND CREASE. IN THE CREASE SACHA BUSTOP BLENDED OUT WITH MAC BROWN SCRIPT THEN APPLIED MAC COPPERING AND BLENDED IT OUT. LINED TOP AND BOTTOM LASH LINE WITH RIMMEL EXAGGERATE EYE KHOL AND TWO COATS OF DIOR BLACKOUT MASCARA.
LIPS: MAC FRESH MOROCCAN LIPSTICK

Hey there Doll face...

Hey there dolls, So I recently did a Doll inspired look the other day inspired by some very cheap lashes I bought from Ardene- 2 for $6. Unfortunately, there weren't even worth a dollar. Although I tried to make them work for this look, they were pretty stiff and hard to work with making it hard to blend my own eyelashes in with the fake ones. I don't think I will be trying them again no matter how cheap they are.

I also decided to try my sample of MAC Matchmaster Foundation. I got samples of 7.5 and 8. 7.5 was the suitable choice for my skin, in MAC Studio Fix I am normally NW43. I found 7.5 to be more on the yellow side but what I loved about it was that it dried completely matte compared to studio fix liquid which tends to look a bit oily after I apply it to my face. The technology behind Matchmaster foundation is that its supposed to let the true tone of your skin  come through so it would look more natural. I didn't really notice that my skin looked more natural but the coverage was really good. I applied a small amount and it covered my entire face from the sample size I got.  I really liked this foundation to the point that I am thinking of switching, so one of out 2 isn't so bad right.

For my lips I decided to fall in love again with an old favourite- Maroon Glaze from Sacha Cosmetics and for my cheeks I decided to use a new favourite Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush in Rose to give my cheeks that perfect doll-like flush. Hope you like the look.

UP CLOSE OF MY $3 LASHES FROM ARDENE AND DIOR BLACKOUT MASCARA WHICH TENDS TO CLUMP A BIT

How to Get Glowing Skin

Hi Beauties, my look yesterday was inspired by a pic I saw of Beyonce where she was absolutely glowing. The kind of glow you can only get from being pregnant. Lately I find I am comparing myself to her alot, Don't you think? hmmm lol. Since getting pregnant isn't an option (not for glowing skin lol), I thought I would try to fake it with makeup. I was also inspired by her outfit and put my own spin on it.  If you live in cold weather, you will notice in the colder months your skin gets pretty drab and dull looking and very dry so glowing skin doesn't come naturally.

How to get glowing skin...
Of course glowing skin starts with well exfoliated skin. I exfiolate twice a week(once a week if you have sensitive skin) along with using my 10% Glycolic solution to remove dead skin cells which reveals new radiant skin.
1. I decided to use my Clinique Up-lighting liquid Illuminator in Peach with my foundation to give me radiant skin all over. Add a few pumps into my liquid foundation and apply on my entire face. If you don't use liquid foundation opt for a mineralized powder like MAC Mineralize Skinfinish powder in your shade over well moisturized skin or apply MAC Fix Plus Spray to give your skin a dewy, refreshed finish.
2. Apply a shimmering pale eyeshadow to your eyes. I found a dupe to Gorgeous Gold e/s from MAC from Ardene for less than $3. (can't recall the name) Its a greenish gold colour and it is very pigmented for the price. Any other champange eyeshdow would work like Woodwinked by MAC. Just make sure its pale and shimmery to highlight your eyes.
3. Apply a cream highlighter and blush. For highlighter I used Hard Candy Glow All the way Face and Body Luminizer infused with 24 kt Go. It works perfectly as a highlighter on darker skin. For blush I applied Plumeria from my Fabulous in Fiji Stila palette and topped it with Margin blush by MAC which is a peachy shimmery blush. The key is to find a cream cheek product to giving lasting hold to whatever blush you will use on top. I find creams give the skin a more dewy radiant look also. NARS The Multiple stick in Orgasm is also a really good choice to warm up your cheeks and give you a dewy, youthful radiance. I find it too shimmery for me though. Lancome Colour Design Blush in Model Mocha  is also a great choice for darker complexions. It has a warm, golden shade.
4. Keep the lips glossy and neutral. You want a lipgloss that is neutral but still has little some gold flecks in it. A perfect choice for this would be MAC Nymphette lipglass It's pretty semi-sheer concoction of golden shimmered champagne pink with just a touch of green-gold shimmer. I am yet to go pick it up at the store but it is on my wish list. I used Stila 24 kt gold lip gloss in Golden Charm (a sheer warm-toned yellow gold with copper and gold shimmer) not pictured below which I paired with MAC Viva Glam IV lipstick with a Santee nude lipgloss.
5. I opted not to use powder and let my natural radiance shine through since I wasn't going for a matte look.

THE LOOK IS HOT BUT THE SHOES ARE CRAZY
MY LOOK: THRIFTED JACKET, BIZOU SCARF, FOREVER 21 JEGGINGS, STEVE MADDEN BOOTS.
THE LIGHTING IN THAT AREA WAS BAD SO YOU CAN'T SEE MY FACE CLEARLY.

PALE SHIMMERY E/S HIGHLIGHTING THE EYES
Oh I am wearing straight long hair this week. I did it for Halloween and stuck with it. Its not really my style. I feel it makes my face even longer and I hate long hair because it gets everywhere. I think I'll switch back to curly on the weekend. I felt like Cher for the past few days, lol According to Kwame I look like I got some Indian in me with this hair. lol What do you guys think?
GLOWING CHEEKS AND GLOSSY LIPS

ALL PRODUCTS MENTIONED ABOVE EXCEPT FOR THE RIMMEL BLACK KOHL PENCIL IN EXAGGERATE, NYX HD EYESHADOW BASE AND DIOR BLACKOUT MASCARA.

THE ARDENE E/S IS A GREAT DUPE FOR MAC GORGEOUS GOLD E/S. THE BROWN E/S IS FROM RIMMEL CALLED BRUN DUSK I USED IT IN THE CREASE.
