My version of Beyonce's Colourful Cat eyes

Hi beauties, I am trying to do this post before I go to work but I don't think the perfectionist in me will allow me to rush it. lol I watched Beyonce's Countdown video and all I really liked about it was the makeup which was mostly inspired by the 50s and 60's, some 80's too. My favourite look was the different cat eyes in several bright colours to match her leotards. I decided to try two of them ( I didn't wear matching tops lol)- orange cat eye and yellow cat eye. My eyes are slightly bigger and more round than Beyonce's so it doesn't look exactly the same on me but I loved how it turned out.

The key to bright colours on your eyes is using a white based primer to help the colour pop and to pat the colour on adding layers till you get the desired colour payoff you want. Never rub eyeshadow with the brush because you will just end up wiping it off, you want to pat it onto the primer so it will stay put.

DEFINED THE CREASE USING AN ANGLE BRUSH WITH MAC EMBARK E/S THEN BLENDED IT OUT SO IT DOESN'T LOOK TOO HARSH

USED THE MATTE ORANGE FROM MY 42 DOUBLE STACK PALETTE TO ADD COLOUR TO THE MUFE 18 E/S

MUFE 18, BRIGHT ORANGE E/S packed unto the eyes.

FOR THE FACE THE USUAL SUSPECTS AND NUDE LIPS TO GO WITH THE BRIGHT EYES

DID A DOUBLE WING FOR THIS ONE AND CUT THE CREASE USING MAC EMBARK E/S.

GOT A NEW BLUSH FROM PHYSICIAN'S FORMULA CALLED HAPPY BOOSTER GLOW AND MOOD BOOSTING BLUSH IN ROSE. WILL DO A REVIEW LATER. (CUTE HEARTS )

On the eyes: NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk as a base then packed on MAC Chrome Yellow E/S ( LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE PALETTE). Lined with Annabelle Liquid Eyeliner in Blackout and Maybelline Eyestudio Gel liner followed by losts of Mascara.

Eyes that remind me of home.

Hi beauties,

 I did this look yesterday with some bright colours to remind me of home. Living on an island has always given me some inspiration when it comes to makeup looks. I just love to work with bright colours.

For this look I used:

• NYX High Definition Eye base to prime the eyes
• NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk
• MAC Gorgeous Gold, Chrome yellow and Golden Rod eyeshadow
• Makeup Forever 18 and 92
• Sacha Bus stop eyeshadow
• ELF Passionate Purple pigment
• MAC Eye khol in Mint
• Annabelle Liquid eyeliner in Blackout
• Maybelline Great lash Mascara

Face: MAC Studio fix Liquid Foundation NW43 with Studio fix foundation plus powder.

Cheeks : Stila Fabulous to fiji palette (plumeria)

Lips: L'oreal Colourjuice lipgloss in caramel

Start with a shaped brow. Look at the difference it makes. Applied embark with an angle brush.

MAC Gorgeous Gold in the inner most corner then Chrome Yellow then Golden Rod

Add MUFE eyeshadow to the middle of the lid followed by Sacha Bus stop eyeshadow. Blend well

Apply MUFE 92 in the outer V and blend then apply ELF Passionate Purple pigment in the outer corner of the top and bottom lash line. Blend well.

Apply NYX Jumbo pencil on to the inner bottom lash line then apply MAC Mint eye khol to the middle bottom lash line then ELF Passion Purple to the outer bottom. Apply black liquid liner and mascara to lashes.

Rihanna's Who's that chick video look

I did this look a while back but I thought I'd share it with the rest of my followers who aren't on my facebook. I love colourful looks and this one worn by rihanna in her who's that chick video is one of my favourites. I was bored one day after work and decided to give it a try so excuse the hair :)

Face: MUFE Mat Velvet Foundation in 70 and MAC NW 43 Studio Fix Foundation Plus Powder
Cheeks: Coastal Secents 42 stack eyeshadow and blush palette ( a barbie pink blush)

Eyes: NYX Milk jumbo pencil on entire lid as a base
MAC Chrome Yellow over entire lower lid
Crease cut with Coastalscents 88 metallic palette brown eyeshadow
88 shimmer palette white eye colour
Maybelline Eyestudio Gel liner in Black on upper and lower lash line
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara in black

Lips
Stila lip enamel in tickled pink and L'oreal endless kissable shinewear gloss top coat

(The phone cam has this white cast) Its convenient but doesn't take the best pics.
