Hi Beauties, let me share some of the goodies I recently bought for my kit from Sephora, MAC and Walmart. I had my first professional shoot for my portofolio which went really well and so Kwame decided to surprise me with a gift card from Sephora to commemorate the special occasion, (aww isn't he sweet). I decided to use it to finally get the Urban Decay Naked Palette valued at $58 CAD not including tax. This palette was first sold out when Sephora opened here and no doubt that is it one of their best sellers. It is also very popular among beauty gurus and bloggers so I felt like it was a must have for my collection. I also got Duo eyelash glue which is very popular also and one of their mini lipgloss sets for $12 which was a great deal. I also visited MAC and got a palette and two eyeshadows and some supplies from Walmart.

HAUL INCLUDING ARDELL ACCENT EYELASHES, NYC CREAM BLUSH IN URBAN SPICE AND WALMART BRAND MAKEUP REMOVERS. |
I love the Ardell accent lashes just to add to the outer corner for definition and fullness and these ones were great for my photoshoot.
I also love to work with cream blush and this one from NYC is really good for $4. It blends really well and has really good colour pay off.
The generic makeup remover wipes come in a pair for about $10 with 60 wipes each which is a really good deal so they should last me a long time.
These 6 Sephora lipglosses were for $12 and I gotta say I love every single one. They also smell really good (like candy). They are not sticky and they are really true to the colour you see in the packaging. This is a great Christmas stocking stuffer for the girl or woman in your life who wants a bunch of lipglosses to carry around with her every day or to travel with.

The swatches from UD NAKED PALETTE. (without a primer) From left to right the colours are virgin, sin, naked, sidecar, buck, half baked, smog, darkhorse, toasted, hustle, creep and gunmetal. They go on really silky smooth and blend well. |
Let's get Naked!
I have been using Urban Decay Naked Palette ($58) since I got it on Saturday. I decided it would be a good palette to have in my kit to use for natural or bridal makeup. I used it on my model for the photoshoot for bridal -Virgin made a good highlighter and smog and darkhorse with creep helped to create a smokey gold eye look for my Spanish inspired look. I also used it on myself later than evening to go with a red lip- I used Half baked (really pigmented gold) and dark horse in the crease. My verdict is that for $58, I think this is a good palette for a professional. The shadows are so smooth and feel like silk to the touch and they blend very easily. It also comes with a brush that I tried and does the job and a mini primer potion (great stuff). If I was to get this for my own use, I would really think twice about it because of the price and because I already own so many similar colours to these in the palette. I used it today on one of my classmates(Adele) and convinced her to get one. It is a great palette to use to bump up natural eye makeup into evening, And these colours would also work well on black women.
