I can finally get online to write on my blog. My internet has been bugging for like a week and I got on today. YAY! I have so much to update that I am going to do most of them today while eating Dove's Beyond Vanilla Icecream ( it comes with hard dark chocolate coating ontop) so yummy and watching some of the greatest artists ever on VH1. I recently got my good friend (Dwayne aka Fatty :)) to go to Sephora in Boston and find this amazing foundation from Makeup Forever (MUFE)- Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation. I know buying foundation in a new line is tricky especially if you have never tried it but I found a really good tool online to help you find a foundation shade in another brand if you already know your MAC shade. For example- I am NW43 in MAC and I put the info in the database and it gave me all the other shades in all the other brands that would match my skintone. I found out I am a 70 in Makeup Forever Mat Velvet. So check out temptalia foundation matrix at http://www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix if you are thinking about trying a different brand of foundation.
So my review of MUFE Mat. I give this foundation 4 out of 5.
Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation
What it is:
A shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation.
What it is formulated to:
Hides imperfections, evens out skin tone, and mattifies with a non-oily, perfectly powdered finish. The result is flawless and lasts for hours.
What else you need to know:
Although this foundation provides full coverage, the end result is completely adjustable to fit your needs - a little goes a long way.
I love this foundation. I put just little bit on my foundation brush and it offered full coverage with just a little bit of the product. It went on smooth and after a few minutes the shine from the oil in my skin was gone. I like the fact that its like it has a built in primer because of the silicone so I can skip one step and it goes on so smooth. I even said my face looked airbrushed. The only reason I didn't get it 5 out of 5 is because of the size. It seemed really small to me compared to my MAC Studio Fix Fluid but when I checked both actually contain the same amount of product (30 ml). It is also kind of pricey ($34 US) on sephora.com or amazon.com. But I will definitely be using it for special occasions.
